Back to some normalcy - Meal Plans and Grocery Trip for July 10th - 16th
We are finally back to some normalcy in our household. That means back to meal planning and grocery/household budget. Here's what I have planned for dinners this week:
Do to some home renovations this weekend, we weren't able to do our grocery running until Monday (today). Michael and I headed down to Walmart to get the following items that we needed:
The amount that was spent at Walmart was $26.77. Off to Wegmans to finish the grocery shopping.
Here's what we were looking for at Wegmans:
We spent $14.85 at Wegmans. The grand total spent on our grocery trip this week was $41.62. I know that we had some money carried over from last week, but cannot remember how much it was. With our normal budget of $50, we were under by $8.38. The amount of money left in our envelope was $23.92 which will be carried over and added to next week's budget of $50.
I earned $0.20 for the eggs, $0.20 for the milk, $0.20 for the bacon, $0.20 for the popsicles, $0.75 for the birthday card for our nephew through Ibotta, and $0.25 for the bananas through Checkout 51. I also scanned my Walmart receipt to their Savings Catcher app to see if there's any better deals elsewhere for the items that I purchased at Walmart. Every little bit adds up.
- paper towels $8.98
- loaf of French bread $1.00
- fudgesicles $3.50
- popsicles $3.50
- birthday cards for Jon's grandfather and our nephew $3.97 and $4.57 = $8.54
