Paula Deen's Barbeque Meatloaf

Last Thursday my mom wanted to go to my brother's apartment for a few hours since he lives an hour away from us.  She wanted to surprise him with his own
meat loaf since he loves him some meat loaf.  So, before it was even lunch time she was making his loaf and us a loaf for lunch.  Click here to see the recipe on the Food Networks website.

Here's what you'll need:
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1C bread crumbs
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 8oz tomato sauce
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 C water

In a large mixing bowl (This is the mixing bowl that came with a birthday gift Michael got.  I'll be writing a review on the gift soon.) put in your ground beef,
The bread crumbs,
The onion,
Egg,
Salt,
Pepper,
And 1/2 C of tomato sauce.
With your hands, mix all the ingredients together.
Then make the mixture into a loaf size.  My mom flattened it to help make it cook more evenly through.
In another mixing bowl, add the remaining tomato sauce,
Vinegar,
Brown sugar,
Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and water.
Stir together and pour over the meatloaf.  The Dijon mustard didn't get mixed together very well.
Put in a preheated oven of 350 degrees for 1 hour.

My mom made for us, mashed potatoes and corn to go with it.  It also taste delicious as a nice cold leftover meatloaf sandwich with some mayonnaise.  It's not really that hard to make, I've made it before and is extremely tasteful!  Give it a try for your dinner or lunch in our case.
