How to Replace Disney Movies

how to replace Disney movies without going to the store and buying a new one,
I have always loved Disney movies and long before we ever had Michael, we were making sure to have a nice Disney movie collection.  We've been buying Blu-Rays for years because they are suppose to last longer than a regular DVD.  We buy the combo pack because we only have a DVD player in the playroom and a travel DVD player for long car trips.

Last year, I was having problems with the Blu-Ray of Cars 2.  I cleaned it and it still was not working properly.  I did not want to buy a new Blu-Ray since a new one would cost $20.00+, more than what we actually paid for this on sale.  I had read on Pinterest about Disney having a replacement disc program.  I looked into it further and found out that it was through their Disney Movie Rewards program (I'll write another post about this program, I love it!).  It's a free program and well worth signing up, but you don't have to be a Disney Movie Reward Member to be able to do the replacement plan.

Here's how it works.  You will mail the damaged or broken disc with a check or money order of $6.95 per DVD or $8.95 per Blu-Ray.  A lot cheaper than going to the store and buying a new movie!  You'll need to fill out and mail a replacement form along with the disc.  There are two different forms, one for US and one for Canada.

Replacement form for US customers
Replacement form for Canadian customers

After you've done all that, it's time to mail them out.  There are two different addresses depending on if you're from the US or Canada.  The addresses are listed on the form you filled out.  It wasn't too long after mailing it out, that we received the replacement Blu-Ray.  The check, however, took a lot longer to clear our account.

If for some reason, the next year the disc gets broken or damaged you can do these steps all over again.  Disney gives you one replacement per tittle per calendar year.  Another reason we love Disney!
