meal plans, grocery budget of $50.00 a week,
Because of doing the snacks for this week of school, I couldn't wait to do the shopping on Monday like I have been doing.  So, even though I was sick, we all went and did our shopping on Saturday.  Here's the dinner plans for the week as well as what the kids got for their snacks:

meal plans, grocery budget of $50.00 a week,
After doing the grocery shopping on Monday, I got sick and am just now starting to somewhat feel better.  Thankfully I had planned fairly simple and easy meals on Monday and Jon was able to make them when he came home from work.

Restaurant review of Red State BBQ in Lexington KY,
My step-mom, Becki, is back at it and has posted another restaurant review.  Are you enjoying having her reviews back?  I know that even though I don't live in Central Kentucky, I enjoy reading about all the different places she tries out.  I also know that when we go down to visit, if she's not cooking, that she'll take us somewhere good.

meal plans, grocery budget of $25.00 a week,
With my mom leaving on Monday and Michael being sick on Tuesday, I didn't get to my grocery shopping until yesterday (Wednesday).  Luckily, we had everything we needed for our dinners the other two nights.  Here's the meal plans I came up with on Monday:

packing for a Myrtle Beach SC vacation, premaking lunches for a beach vacation,
In hopes to save some money, we packed pretty much everything we could think of that we might need.  I also wanted to make our vacation still a vacation and did as much prep work on the food for our meals as I could a head of time.

Restaurant review of Herbe in Lexington KY,
My step-mom has decided to bring back her restaurant review blog (actually they're posts on her Facebook page) after many have requested her to do so.  Without further adieu, here's her recent post.

family movie night via netflix, family movie night, netflix,
With the new school year starting, I wanted to try and start something new.  Every Friday night we're going to try and have a family movie night.  We started this last Friday and had a lot of fun.
Chef Mickey's, Walt Disney World vacation, character meals at Walt Disney World,
Before heading home from our Walt Disney World vacation back in December, we had reservations for breakfast at Chef Mickey's.  So after packing up the Sonata and checking out of the hotel, we headed over to Disney's Contemporary Resort via the monorail from the Magic Kingdom's parking lot.
meal plans, grocery budget of $25.00 a week,
After a long weekend away for a family reunion, we didn't feel like doing our shopping when we got home on Monday.  I decided to do the shopping yesterday after I was sure Michael's first day of school was going well.  I didn't really have a plan before I left, came up with it while I  was at Walmart.  Here's our plans for dinner this week:

first day of 4 year old preschool at Little Blessings Preschool in Leesburg VA, preschool, children,
Today was Michael's first day of his second year at Little Blessing Preschool here in Leesburg, VA.  He did a fantastic job and had a great first day!

blogging for two years,
Wow!  It's been two years since I decided to start this little mommy blog.  I had no idea what I was doing or even going to write about, but I've been able to do it for two years.  I guess that means something.

meal plans, meal plans for beach vacation, $50 weekly grocery budget,
Having a vacation on the beach and staying at a place that has a kitchen can help save you money when it comes to food.  We decided that we would buy most of the food here in Virginia and bring it down with us.  I think the next time we go down, we'll do our shopping when we get there.  Here's the meal plans that we had:
meal plans, grocery budget of $25.00 a week,
So with a new school year approaching and a possible new work schedule for Jon, I thought we would try and switch up the whole meal plan and grocery trip posts.  We are going to try and make more meals at home than we had been and at the end of each month I'll write a post about how well we did.  On to this week.
