Keeping it under our normal weekly budget! - Meal Plan and Grocery Trip Breakdown for November 16th - 22nd

weekly meal plans with links to recipes on a $50 weekly grocery budget, meal plans, grocery shopping on a budget
It's the middle of the month and I'm slowly getting tired of planning what to have for dinners.  I wish I was good enough to make a plan at the beginning of the month and have already prepped dinners.  Even though I'm a stay-at-home mom, I'm all about simplicity.  Since that's not happening anytime soon, here's what I have planned for dinners this week:

Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
Saturday
Sunday
Pork Chops

Pizza
Thanksgiving dinner with family Leftovers

Here's what my lists were like at Walmart and Wegmans. I actually added a few items while I was there and they are in green.

Walmart
Wegmans
Item
Prices
Item
Prices
2 cans of pizza sauce $0.98 x 2 = $1.96 gallon whole milk $2.69
Alfredo sauce $1.98 apple juice $4.99
small can of tomato sauce $0.44 OJ $4.69
pizza cheese $2.34 tortilla shells $1.49
mozzarella cheese $2.47 pepperoni $2.39 on sale for $1.99
taco cheese $2.47 elbow noodles $0.99
5pk mac-n-cheese $3.97 fettucine noodles $0.99
fruit gummies $2.00 pizza dough $2.49
5 2L of Pepsi $1.48 on sale for $1.00 x 5 = $5.00
gallon of distilled water $0.88
Walmart Total = $24.10 Wegmans Total = $20.83

We should of had a carry over of $38.09, but I had forgot last week to buy a few items and used $10 from the remainder.  So this week's budget was $78.00.  The grand total spent was $44.93 making us even under our normal weekly budget of $50.00.  Next week we will have a carry over of $33.07 which will come in handy because I'm going to be making Thanksgiving dinner!  Stay tune to a post about that.
