Back at it after a month of no plans - Meal Plans and Grocery Trip for May 1st thru 7th

meal plans, $50 weekly grocery budget,
We are back at it after almost a month of not having any real meal plans and basically being on the road every weekend.  Here's what we've decided to have for dinners this week:
  1. Shake-n-Bake pork chops
  2. Lasagna
  3. French Bread Pizza
  4. Chicken Alfredo

As normal, our first stop was at Walmart.  Here's the list we had to work with:
  • loaf of French bread  $1.00
  • Mickey shaped cheese  $2.43
  • shredded mozzarella cheese  $2.48
  • deodorant  $2.47
  • pizza sauce  $0.98
  • fruit snacks  $2.00
The total spent at Walmart was $11.73.  Off to Wegmans to get the rest of the items on our list.

Here's the list we had for Wegmans:
  • dozen large eggs  $1.99
  • pepperoni  $2.39
  • gallon chocolate milk  $3.89
  • 2lb bag of onions  $1.69
  • hamburger meat
  • cookie cake
We were a little late on our grocery trip so Wegmans was rather picked over, hence the mark through the hamburger meat and cookie cake.  We spent $10.21 at Wegmans.

We ended up spending a grand total of $21.94.  As usual, our weekly grocery budget was $50 which made us under budget by $28.06.  That will help for our next grocery run and replenishing of our hamburger meat.  How's your meal planning and staying under budget going for you?
