Family Bowling at King Pinz

Whenever we have family in for a visit, we always try to come up with something fun and family friendly to do.  When my dad and step-mom came in for New Year's, we decided to try out the new bowling alley here in Leesburg, VA.

King Pinz is located in the Village at Leesburg.  We've been wanting to try it out, but had never got around to going.  We ended up going on New Year's Day and had a great time.

We had decided that we would have lunch in their grill before getting our bowling on.  For a bowling alley, the food was great!  You don't have to eat in the grill area if you don't want to.  They will bring you your food to your lane and you can eat while you bowl.  Our waitress got us all setup for a lane, took our names, and shoe sizes after we were done eating.

Look at Michael with those bowling shoes!  He was waiting patiently for the rest of us to pick our balls out.

Not only did we have bumpers setup for all of Michael's turns, we used this neat little contraption to help him bowl.  He had let the ball go before I was able to take the picture.

Telling his daddy that he's going to use the orange ball no matter what he says.

Only had what looks like one pin left to knock down.  For the longest time, Michael was beating all of us!

The final score.  My brother beat us all.  We tried to play another game, but the lane had been reserved to another group.  We played until we had to leave the lane.

If you're looking for something fun to do with the whole family, definitely check out King Pinz.  Lanes don't have to be reserved, they accept walk-ins.  There's also a little arcade area to occupy your time if you're waiting for a lane or do what we did and get a bite to eat.  According to their website, they even have bowling leagues as well as specials and party packages.  I'm sure a fun time will be had by all.
