Even though the list is small, it doesn't mean that it won't eat up a good bit of your budget - Meal Plans and Grocery Trip for September 12th - 18th

I hate to admit it again, but we will be having some carry overs again this week.  With our schedule being switched up because of Michael starting school and I'm still recovering from my sprained ankle, we ended
up not making everything I had planned for dinners last week.  Here's this week's plan:
  1. Hamburgers
  2. Cheese Steaks
  3. Cheesy Chicken Tater Tot Casserole
  4. Spaghetti
Since we had everything needed for all the dinners as well as for lunches, we just had to get a few things.  Here's the list for Walmart:
  • pads  $6.97
  • razor blades  $16.97
  • shaving cream  $3.50
Because the list was so small and we didn't need any grocery items, we ended up just going to the Walmart here in Leesburg.  The total spent was $29.09.  When we got in the car, I scanned the receipt to the Savings Catcher app that I have on my smart phone.  On the past two grocery trips, I have earned money through this app.  I hope to write a post about this later so, stay tuned.

We thought that that was all we needed, but realized while in Walmart that we did need to go to Wegmans and get our weekly grocery items.  Here's the list for Wegmans:
  • gallon of whole milk  $3.49
  • OJ  $2.49
  • 6pk of 24oz Mt Dew  $3.49
Michael would be so upset to know that there was no milk in the house.  We bought the soda because we were heading to my cousin's baby shower right afterwards and it was bring your own beverage.  The total spent was $9.71.  Our budget was our normal $50 weekly budget.  The grand total spent was $38.80, making us under budget by $11.20.
