Juicy Steaks at half the cost of a restaurant meal

My husband had bought these two yummy steaks as a Valentine's Day back up.  Since we ended up going to Outback for our Valentine's Day meal, we put these steaks in the freezer to save for a later meal.  We decided to use them for dinner a few days ago.

As I mentioned in my What I Love About Wegmans post, I love that the meat are individually vacuumed sealed which makes it great for freezing.  As you can see, we got both steaks for the grand whopping price of $11.16!  Yes, two nicely sized and thick steaks for less than what one steak of this size would cost at a restaurant.  Proof that you can still eat well without breaking the bank.  Here's how I cooked these steaks.

I love using the McCormick Grill Mates.  They are so simple to make and really makes your meat taste so much better.  This marinade was supper yummy.  I actually can't wait to use it again.  Perfect for our steaks!

You want to take a fork to your steak and poke holes so that the marinade can soak into the meat.  I'm using one of the most used wedding presents we got, our Tupperware Season-Serve Container.  I loved it so much that I actually bought a bigger one.  Once you poke the holes in your meat, cover that side with your marinade.  Flip the meat over and do the same to that side.

I then poured the remainder of the marinade in the container and put the lid on and put it in the fridge.  The package says to let sit for at least 30 minutes, but we actually ended up having it sit for about close to two days.  The longer it sits, the more the marinade infuses into the meat and the better tasting it will be!

I didn't get any pictures of the "grilling" of the steaks, sorry.  I used our George Foreman Grill since the weather was not completely good grilling weather.  What I generally do when grilling marinaded meat is put it on the grill and put some more marinade on the exposed side.  Then I flip it over and put marinade on the underside.  I then closed the grill and let it do its thing.  Don't press down on the Foreman because you still want all the juices in the meat, I mean who wants their steak to be dry?  Even though with the Foreman it cooks both sides at the same time, I still flip my steaks over.  Put some more marinade on each side and let them cook a little longer.  I always cut the center of my steaks to make sure they are the way we want them.

Once they are cooked how you like, put them on a plate and let them rest.  This way all the juices come back and the meat loosens up.  Add a baked potato or a side of fries and you have a yummy and rather cheap meal.
